Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you plan an iPad version or a universal version?
A: Please stay tuned! I released my first universal application with the Hypermiler app. Unfortunately I had to make a lot of changes to the underlying UI, which means that I will have to redo a lot from scratch. It is going to take some time, but I do plan to make a Universal Photoscout application that runs on iPad and iPhone.
Q: Do you plan versions for other operating systems?
A: I am investigating how to migrate the software to Android and other mobile operating systems (Windows Mobile 7, Blackberry, WebOS). I did write the code with portability in mind, but I will also base my final decision on iOS sales.
Q: Will there be a free version of your application?
A: Potentially! I started developing both applications concurrently, but it takes more time to support two applications and to keep two applications updated. In order to release, I had to focus my efforts on the paid application. I will not be able to release a free version in 2010 and I may have to abandon plans to release it entirely.
Q: What limitations did you plan for the free version?
A: A free application would require a permanent online connection and would be ad supported.
